Crane Trust

Welcome to the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center

The large sign in the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center parking lot reads, “A Welcome Place for Friends & Nature.” A welcome place indeed, as the recorded sounds of sandhill cranes fill the air to introduce visitors from throughout the region and beyond to a wealth of indoor/outdoor experiences and information.

Inside, visitors will find native wildlife exhibits, informational displays, and volunteers ready to answer questions about the Crane Trust’s research and conservation programs. Visitors will also find the Hornady Art Gallery as well as the Crimson Crown Gift Shop. Outside, visitors will find a 35-foot observation tower, our butterfly garden, a herd of American bison, and a pair of footbridges crossing the Platte River’s north channel, connecting nature lovers to roughly 10 miles of hiking trails through rare tall grass prairie, forest and wetland habitats.

While here, inquire about the Crane Trust’s VIP experiences which offer unique, all-inclusive, crane viewing, corporate retreats, photography workshops, and outdoor experiences.

Experience the wonder, visit the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center today!
